Fendi FW 2013

This season Fendi was all about dyed fur! Fur was everywhere!! From stripes to solid and everything in between, Fendi's girl this season is a Space Xenon Queen. Karl Lagerfeld propelled Fendi forward for Fall with this season that kept the young breath of life in the label. The major trends in the show are below:

Ashish FW 2013

Ashish Gupta is known for his signature sequined sportswear which he continued this season at London Fashion Week. I must say, this show and Christopher Kane's were the ones I was looking forward to the most. I mean, look at all of the sequins!! I'm like a bird when it comes to shiny things.
Anyways, the latest collection for Ashish featured the sequins but with a twist. In an interview with NylonTV, Gupta said this season was "inspired by workwear" and that he wanted to put a twist on it by doing it all in sequins.
Below are the trends in the show and I hope you'll be as amazed as I was. Ashish is never a dull show and this season made me a little emotional because of how beautiful everything was, I can only pray you feel the same.

Christopher Kane FW 2013

SO, Christopher Kane's collection was probably the one I was most excited for in London Fashion Week. Kane only recently appeared on the fashion radar a few years ago but he has established himself and become loved by many. (I'm one of those people.) In his latest collection, he went for a sensible route using heavy fabrics. Looking below you can check out the major trends in his Fall 2013 show:

Central Saint Martins FW 2013

London Fashion Week is in full swing and I loved the show Central Saint Martins put on. There were 14 collections within the show.
For those who don't know, CSM isn't a label, it's a school in London so the show is different students' work and they send out great products. I especially loved how all of the collections were different from each other and showed a strong distinction from designer to designer. Below I have collaged together my favorites from the collections with the designers' names as well.

Eilish Macintosh

Assaf Reeb

Eilish Macintosh

Marie Rydland

Jaimee McKenna

Hwan Sung Park

Jessica Fawcett

Nicomede Talavera

Nayoung Moon

Elena Crehan

Rachel Hewitt

Hampus Berggren

Sadie Williams

Toma Stenko

Which one is your favorite? I loved them all for very different reasons but I must say that Hampus Berggren's has a special place in my heart because I love menswear that thinks outside of the boring suits. It's totally my style, I would wear all of it.

Jeremy Scott FW 2013

Jeremy Scott rules fashion week again with his crazy antics and his ability to do whatever he wants. If you've followed my blog for some time now, you would have figured out that I love Jeremy Scott and he's one of my many favorites designers. He is fabulous. Scott's Fall 2013 collection is all about zombies and cartoon death patterns. The signatures like printed pants and dyed furs were evident but done in new ways. Check out the highlights below

What I Wore: Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

This year I really wanted to dress up for Valentine's Day, I think it was probably because of American Apparel's constant emails promoting their collection for V-Day. The emails worked. I purchased these sheer pants for only $19 online (the store nearest me didn't have them yet) because I wanted to be cheeky. The only bad idea was wearing these on a windy day. Most people dress up super kawaii for Valentine's Day in pink and lace and other loud adornments but I wanted to focus on a side not many people do, the sexual side. That's why I chose this outfit!

Rodarte FW 2013

Rodarte's Fall 2013 show at New York Fashion Week included a lot of ideas. While, I did tend to like most of it, there was little refinement (if any). The label showed everything from black to white to nude to tie-dye to sponged. It all works for Fall 2013 and I think the season will be successful but it was A LOT.

So starting with the first trend, monochromatic layering

DKNY FW 2013

Donna Karan's Fall 2013 collection was bursting with fun. Seriously, scarlet and cheetah print in one show together. One of my favorite things she played with was the sizing of the print and then combining the different sizes together in one cohesive look that didn't look like an adult onesie. It came across very well.

Below you'll see some of the pieces I loved and the trend examples from the show...

Last-Minute Valentine's Day Outfits

Okay so the time is crunching down and you're starting to freak out because you have nothing to wear for Valentine's? Well calm the hell down because you've come to the right place. I'm not going to commentate as much on the outfits this time since you need to be figuring out what to wear and not reading. HURRY There are outfits for men and women here so keep on scrolling.

I selected outfits for both sides of Valentine's Day; they reflect the darker, romantic side and the puppy love, cute side. If you want to purchase anything in the collages, click on the link in the collage's description. First the men's and then the women's..

A masculine take on floral

More floral, but with choices (any combo of these would look good)

OOTD: Death of a Teenager

I've never actually owned a black button-up shirt before so as soon as my mom offered to buy me one, I  snatched up the offer. If you can't tell from my blog, I like dressing dark (sometimes I do dress quite summery) and I thought that wearing a completely black outfit would be hella cool. So that's what I did. This outfit is called...
