I'M BACK! (it must've seemed like I feel off the Earth...)

I've been feeling a little uninspired about blogging but then it hit me....what's been hot lately?

Metallics!

So, I put together a trend report about Metallics, here we go...

First off, Burberry released a re-design of their classic trench coats in metallic fabrics accented by metallic accessories for their Spring 2013 runway.

Balenciaga Breakup

Today some shocking news got released to the public:

Nicolas Ghesquière is parting ways with Balenciaga and his last day will be November 30th, 2012.

Ghesquière has been designing for Balenciaga since 1997, that's fifteen years, and has brought the fashion house from struggling to striving.

I'll miss his brilliant collections but I also look forward to see what he'll do next....

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2013

This show summed up into 2 words was imitation & sex.

Jean Paul Gaultier was on point this season; he gave looks from Annie Lennox to David Bowie to Madonna to Boy George. That's a lot for one fashion show and his runway was the same darker visual scheme we've seen so many times before.

Forever 21 made a special announcement today! The brand is teaming up with Sanrio and OnchMovement to produce the 'Hello Kitty Forever' collection!!

The collection will be in stores November 16th and ALL OF THE ACCESSORIES are being designed exclusively by Onch!

He took to his twitter to write, "As a life long Hello Kitty fan, and a frequent shopper at Forever 21, this is quite the dream come true for me!" Onch, it's quite the dream come true for US! Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

Vivienne Westwood Spring 2013 - Makeup and Accessories

For Vivienne Westwood's latest collection I really wanted to focus more on the makeup, styling, and accessories because it was so impeccable. She stuck to her usual edge-pushing aesthetic and royal embellishments but did push the envelope even more than expected.

Here the model has a HEART painted onto her face. I'll let that sink in for awhile. 

T by Alexander Wang Spring 2013

White and Black as usual. Still exciting and beautiful somehow.

T by Alexander Wang was simple, subtle, and sexy this season and the pieces are so timeless and classics. Everyone could use at least one piece from this collection. (There are leather shorts in this collection!)
