#OOTD: Psychedelia

Hi hi hi! So I'm back! My Christmas was really nice and New Year's was very quiet for me (not that I minded). But for Christmas I got these glasses from H0les that I had asked for! They're magical! I included my instagram video in this post to show their full glory, photos really don't do them justice--at all. As a personal Christmas present I bought myself 2 softboxes and a seamless white backdrop, I'm still figuring out both of them so just bear with it while I figure everything out and my parents got me an SLR camera FINALLY. Ugh I've gone so long without one (which is difficult as a fashion blogger).

Also! It was my first day back to school since the break!

Did you notice this dress has shoulderpads?! I'm living for it

#OOTD: As if!

The movie Clueless will always be a fashion inspiration for me. I felt like I needed a kilt in my life so I found one on eBay at a really reasonable price. But any who I spent the day walking downtown with a friend exploring different shops. Today was the day after my 6th year Vegetarianism anniversary so we went to my favorite vegan restaurant, Counter Culture, and then walked across the street to a vegan bakery, Capital City Bakery, for the first time. It was such a lovely way to spend the day.

#OOTD: Night Owl

So this was the second outfit my friend and I photographed on our double OOTD mission lasting until 1 AM. It was surprisingly cold this night and there's actually a story behind this location. She lives near a parking garage with vines growing all around the façade and I thought I wanted to photograph there but it was quite hard to reach the spot I wanted so we wandered into the garage and it was amazing! These wires are what keep the cars from falling down the middle but don't they look like sculptures!?

I'll likely return to this garage for more OOTD shoots because it was really graphic, there were many other photographable locations, and I love the industrial feel of parking garages.

#OOTD: The Factory

Hello! I feel bad for not posting and I'm super sorry! I shot 2 OOTD posts in one night at like midnight after I got off work because of it; expect the other post later this week. I wore this outfit to a book launch for my friend who was part of 512Stew, a group of UT Design Majors. I got to meet a lot of cool people and visited the nearby gallery on their campus as well which was quite inspiring.

I kinda stole the show with my outfit and I felt bad because I didn't even mean to; I had planned this outfit the night before I was even invited but I don't think I made any of my friends upset, thankfully.

#OOTD: I Own the World

Hello! I made something recently! Guess what it is! It's this hella cool dress you can see!!!!
So yeah I was bored one day and I had this idea in mind for a future project I'm putting together and I just decided to do it now!
Overall, it was pretty easy. It just took a lot of time because vinyl is incredibly cumbersome to work with.
Walking in it was more of a challenge than I thought it would be, I had to walk a bit slower than I usually do and shorten my stride but I saw some people take photos of me so it was pretty worth it.

#OOTD: I Mean Business

I visited the Capitol again! I hadn't planned on shooting an OOTD post but my friend suggested it so we just had my phone to work with. Sorry for the lower quality ahead of time. I found this suit at a thrift store and originally it had pants but I cut it down to shorts. The pattern is really unique; it's a glossy square pattern over a matte fabric.

there's a post about my Halloween costume coming soon....

#OOTD: Generation Y

So after my extremely weird outfit yesterday I wanted to tone it down and be comfortable today. But just because I'm comfortable today doesn't mean I don't have something up my sleeve for tomorrow... just you wait.

As a child I was a hardcore fan of the Spice Girls, my favorite was Baby Spice. I still love them after all these years! I mean hello, tuesday's outfit title was a spin of Sporty Spice! My favorite has definitely switched to Ginger Spice though because of her wacky fashion antics but I listen to them almost every day. So I thought I would finally get a Spice Girls shirt. I still remember (my mom) buying this album the day it came out and I thought the cover was just beyond cool.

#OOTD: Skorty Spice

Today's the second day in my 'week of white' and I really like this outfit. While I've worn outfits that pushed boundaries before, I've never worn a skort. But I actually really love this. I guess it's just like a pair of shorts with fresh-to-death detailing on the front.
People seemed shocked by it, no surprise there.

#OOTD: Blank Page

Today was my first day back to school and I felt so happy to be back. My classes bored me a little because I only had one of my design classes today and two electives. But tomorrow should be more fun, I have two design classes to look forward to.

An idea has been stirring in my head for awhile and last night I finally decided I would do it. All this week I'm only going to wear white. Why? There's literally no reason at all other than that I think wearing a monochromatic outfit makes you stand out and I like to stand out. (And white is my favorite color.) People really seemed to enjoy my outfit I wore today, as well as my extensions. I'm loving the extensions.

Today was such a good day.

#OOTD: Crash Landing!

I found my camera! Coincidentally I found it while packing for our trip to Roswell, New Mexico and surrounding areas. So I did a little OOTD for our day in Roswell. If you ever visit I would suggest staying only a day, there were fewer things to do than what you would think. A lot of the businesses sell the same souvenirs but overall I enjoyed it.

We had lunch at Galactic Sushi (which was delicious) and on the way there we spotted this U.F.O. vehicle in front of a hotel! How fun! Obviously I had to get a pic!

We're spending the day in Carlsbad, NM exploring the caverns today! After my trip I'll post an instagram diary so keep an eye out for that or follow me on instagram for live updates!

#OOTD: Shorter and shorter

My entire outfit is from American Apparel today and I didn't even realize it! I went home for the weekend but I didn't plan on a new outfit so I grabbed this polo from my closet at home for today and it worked out perfectly. I don't even know why I left it.
But anyways, my outfit was pretty simple today. I'm getting into cropped sweaters lately, wearing them over other shirts. It's a much more comfortable way to pair a cropped sweater during the winter or when you just don't feel like baring your body. Try it out.
This OOTD is called:

Shorter and shorter

because I keep cutting my sweaters shorter and shorter

all clothes: American Apparel

and I wore a kawaii pink bindi today to pair with the pastel shirt.

What I Wore: Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

This year I really wanted to dress up for Valentine's Day, I think it was probably because of American Apparel's constant emails promoting their collection for V-Day. The emails worked. I purchased these sheer pants for only $19 online (the store nearest me didn't have them yet) because I wanted to be cheeky. The only bad idea was wearing these on a windy day. Most people dress up super kawaii for Valentine's Day in pink and lace and other loud adornments but I wanted to focus on a side not many people do, the sexual side. That's why I chose this outfit!

Last-Minute Valentine's Day Outfits

Okay so the time is crunching down and you're starting to freak out because you have nothing to wear for Valentine's? Well calm the hell down because you've come to the right place. I'm not going to commentate as much on the outfits this time since you need to be figuring out what to wear and not reading. HURRY There are outfits for men and women here so keep on scrolling.

I selected outfits for both sides of Valentine's Day; they reflect the darker, romantic side and the puppy love, cute side. If you want to purchase anything in the collages, click on the link in the collage's description. First the men's and then the women's..

More floral, but with choices (any combo of these would look good)

OOTD: Death of a Teenager

I've never actually owned a black button-up shirt before so as soon as my mom offered to buy me one, I  snatched up the offer. If you can't tell from my blog, I like dressing dark (sometimes I do dress quite summery) and I thought that wearing a completely black outfit would be hella cool. So that's what I did. This outfit is called...

OOTD: Salute

My friend Robby came over and we decided to do a quick shoot (I didn't even wear this today shh don't tell anyone). We took the photos by the power plant on my campus where I took my senior photos and I ended up climbing in a chute that I wasn't supposed to as you can see below. It was pretty sketchy. I've worn this outfit before but never documented it anywhere so I decided to just redo it because cute. I also can't stop incorporating the Margiela for H&M clutch into outfits so it's here as well. This outfit is called...

OOTD: H I D D E N

I made the beanie that I'm wearing a couple days ago and you can find the tutorial to it here. It's a copy of the Jil Sander veiled beanie from her Spring 2012 collection. It was super easy to make and I've gotten so many compliments on it. :)

It's been pretty cold here in Austin so I've had to wear a jacket or risk freezing to death in the name of fashion but my dad's army jacket is the most comfortable and warm jacket I have so I like to wear it quite a bit and it matches so much.

I just wanted to look a bit grunge-y today (but not homeless) so I paired this ensemble together with the beanie. This look is called...

H I D D E N
