Mugler Menswear AW2013

Mugler Menswear was all about neon, triangles, and spy wear for AW2013.
Today was the start of Paris Menswear Fashion Week and Mugler wrapped up the first day; they also set the bar pretty high for other designers. Not only did Nicola Formichetti commission G-Dragon for the runway track "I am Mugler" but he, along with Romain Kremer, showed so many different yet all wonderful looks.

The show started out with a muted colour palette but they didn't hold back any on the design portion.

perfect for everyday spy duties

As the monochrome trend is coming back around, it was only fitting that Mugler dabbled in it...

and then triangles started appearing...

Sweaters can be very boring, but not Mugler sweaters. Oh hell no. Here are the decorated sweaters from the collection...

The show also showed off neon green accents in different ways (i.e. piping, trim, undershirt) and gave fresh new life to garments that would otherwise be fairly basic...

I think my favorite parts of the show were the latex/rubber jumpsuits. I'm a sucker for unconventional fabrics and I fall head over heels for any collection that includes rubber or vinyl so the fact that Mugler used this had me gushing...

Nicola Formichetti and Romain Kremer werked AW2013 Menswear. I absolutely loved the bright colours as well as the more subtle ones but in every piece there was signature Mugler design and all of it was impactful; it was impressive. If you ever want to dress like a sci-fi spy Russian BAMF, get some Mugler for yourself.
