Meeting Brooke Candy, Semi Precious Weapons, Mykki Blanco, and Lady Starlight All in One Day

So recently I had the pleasure of seeing BOTH Brooke Candy and Mykki Blanco perform. 

Let me tell you, it was insane. Every year, in Austin, there's a music festival called SXSW (South by Southwest) that is the biggest independent music festival in the world! It continues to grow bigger and bigger every year too! 

My friend and I got to the venue at 1:30pm and Brooke's show wasn't even until 4:45pm! We REALLY REALLY wanted to see her and surprisingly it wasn't that crowded. The instant we got there we made it to front row, which was more like just walking up to the stage. I'm not even kidding you. They had bands all day and it was so dead. But lucky for us. 

Brooke was everything I thought she would be and more.

Mykki was subpar. I was really disappointed, I thought he would be amazing but he seemed so tired. Even when I met him, before the show, it was like he had just woken up.

But back to the timeline...

we walked all over Austin (one night we walked 4 miles just to get back to my dorm)

So we got there. We waited. Finally, it was Brooke Candy's show!

Trend Report: Messy Hair at #PFW

Paris Fashion Week ended today with Lie Sang Bong's show as the closer. One thing I kept noticing in the shows during both Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week were messy hair styles. You can see below 18 different designers all opted for unkept styles. Is this a new trend?

#OOTD: Shorter and shorter

My entire outfit is from American Apparel today and I didn't even realize it! I went home for the weekend but I didn't plan on a new outfit so I grabbed this polo from my closet at home for today and it worked out perfectly. I don't even know why I left it.

But anyways, my outfit was pretty simple today. I'm getting into cropped sweaters lately, wearing them over other shirts. It's a much more comfortable way to pair a cropped sweater during the winter or when you just don't feel like baring your body. Try it out.

because I keep cutting my sweaters shorter and shorter

and I wore a kawaii pink bindi today to pair with the pastel shirt.

Sportmax FW 2013

Alrighty, the Sportmax collection at Milan Fashion Week did not disappoint. The focus of the show was the outerwear! (There's some lovely outerwear in this collection and by some, I mean all of it.) You can see that while Sportmax did fur this season (like every other designer), they made it their own and took it into an entirely different route.

Hello everyone! So I went thrifting and I got so many cool clothes! I haven't been thrifting in awhile but I kept meaning to go so finally I went. I bought 8 pieces for $19 (I know, right!!).

Mugler FW 2013

Nicola Formichetti and Sebastien Peigne's Fall 2013 collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week and this was all about the futuristic woman. Similar to the last menswear collection for Mugler, the theme of protection and spy wear overflowed into this one.
